The Gemara asks: But let him render the leaven null and void during the sixth hour, when he burns it.

革玛拉答:那酵上既已有众拉比所立的禁——第五时以后便不可从它得益处——它在律法上便如同托拉所禁的酵一般,已不在他名下,他也就作废不成了。
The Gemara answers: Since there is a rabbinic prohibition that takes effect on the leaven, as it is prohibited to derive benefit from it after the fifth hour, its legal status is like that of leaven prohibited by Torah law, and therefore it is not in his possession and he is unable to nullify it.
